In early-2026, the University of Pittsburgh is expected to transition lab websites over to paid plans on the OpenScholar platform. Through this process, a number of lab websites will be decommisioned (i.e., removed) from the pitt.edu domain. We anticipate that the NEAR Lab site at onlinerecovery.pitt.edu will be one of the sites that is removed. As a relatively small research lab, the OpenScholar platform is not a good fit for our needs and budget. However, we value the opportunity to communicate our work to other scholars, healthcare providers, and interested community members. For now, we have set up a newsletter/site on Substack to communicate updates about our work. In early 2026, we expect to have a new website dedicated to providing resources that are currently found in the NEAR-FAR section of the current site.
